Dutchess ARC is a non-profit agency that has been serving children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families in Dutchess County since 1971. Our chapter affiliation with NYSARC, Inc. provides us with a sizable and unified voice to advocate for and with individuals and their families. Our services are diverse and located in every corner of Dutchess County.

Inspired by our self-advocates, families, volunteers and staff, Songs for NYSARC helps increase public awareness about people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities (“I/DD”).
Songs for NYSARC is a joint effort of NYSARC and Musicians for a Cause. It includes some of the best songs ever written about people with developmental disabilities and was created through a collaboration between talented artists and parents. You can hear the songs and buy downloads to support our Chapter through the link below.

We also have a goal to make one of the songs, "I Am", the first Gold Record inspired by people with developmental disabilities! Stay Informed with OVT
Every other Thursday, NYSARC, Inc. publishes its e-newsletter, Our Voice Today. Originally published as print newsletter Our Children's Voice in March 1949, OVT has a long history of providing information and resources related to people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities.
In 2011, OVT was converted into an e-newsletter with a circulation of about 2,000 subscribers. The goal of the publication is to keep individuals in New York State informed about the latest advancements in the field as well as the activities of the 55 Chapters of NYSARC.
