There are many ways to volunteer at Dutchess ARC. Volunteers are always welcome; it all depends on your interests and abilities.  While volunteers are always encouraged to donate their time on a regular basis, there are many opportunities to volunteer on an as-needed basis or for specific fundraising events.  Dutchess ARC has the ability to sign paperwork for high school or college coursework requirements and welcomes the opportunity to include Dutchess County students in our volunteer community.

Schedules are varying, offering the opportunity for people of all backgrounds to make a difference.  While many of our programs that utilize volunteer services operate from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, there are others that operate during evening and weekend hours, making it possible for volunteers to work around their schedule.

Providing assistance in a day habilitation program offers the opportunity to directly impact one or more of the individuals that we serve.  Helping out with daily activities or providing an extra set of hands during an exciting event can be both fulfilling and rewarding.

While experience is not required to become a Dutchess ARC volunteer, "heart" and the belief that you have the ability to make a difference in someone's life are.

Additionally, Dutchess ARC heads many fundraising initiatives throughout the year, all of which require assistance preparing for and during the event.  Volunteers are welcome to assist, offer insight and help us continue to expand our relationship with the community.

For more information on volunteering opportunities, call (845) 635-8084, or e-mail us at info@dutchess-arc.org.
