Dutchess ARC offers a wide range of community living opportunities for people with developmental disabilities. The diverse choice of homes includes apartment programs designed for individuals seeking greater independence and privacy and Individual Residential Alternatives [IRA] offering 24-hour support to individuals seeking group living and personalized assistance.

At Home Residential Habilitation services are provided to people who continue to live with their families but may require or request personal assistance, training or guidance within their own home. This level of support can include personal care, transportation, academic tutoring, financial management and leisure enhancement. Service is provided based on the needs identified by the individual and their family.

Recently Dutchess ARC celebrated the joining of a new family in our newly opened Hillcrest house in Poughkeepsie, New York.  Coupled with the expansion and renovation of our North Avenue house located in Salt Point, New York, Dutchess ARC was able to improve the quality of life for almost 20 individuals as a part of our Residential Services "right sizing" initiative.  A concept for this initiative is creating homes for the people we serve, going far beyond the bricks and mortar.

Dutchess ARC currently supports individuals in over 18 certified homes across the county.
